Blog #6: TED Talk summary
The TED Talk I watched was "Pop culture is dead!" by Phil Miller from TEDxWoking. At the beginning of the speech, the speaker gives the audience a welcome, and he started with an experiment by asking them to take out their phone and take an interesting picture. Next, share with the people sitting on the right and left sides of them. Then, he asks the people sitting in the first two lines to decide which picture is more interesting between them. Then, he explains how pop culture forms. Instead, he shows 2 pictures that give different ideas, and says "When a group of people comes out with a common idea, that is how popular culture forms". Actually, popular culture is everything around us. What Phil wants to say is that the popular culture that we all know before is probably dead, but popular has a long life because it changes.
